Philip is the Director of childpsych. He is a full member of the College of Clinical Psychologists and College of Educational & Developmental Psychologists. He has extensive experience with children as a teacher, school psychologist and child psychologist. Philip has advanced training in clinical psychology and education. His particular expertise is with the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders in children and adolescents, assessment of learning and developmental problems and the management of behaviour problems. He has conducted research on the nature of anxiety and personality in children and published research about children who refuse to attend school because of anxiety. Philip has a particular passion about the involvement of parents as co-therapists in treating their child's problems, which is reflected in the practice's core value of interdependence.
Annemari de Korte MAPS

Annemari began and completed her training in psychology in South Africa. Annemari has extensive experience as a psychologist with children. She is an accredited supervisor for probationary psychologists in Queensland and has supervised psychologists-in-training over the years. Annemari’s particular expertise is working with children and adolescents who have experienced grief and loss, are suffering from depression and anxiety and with the behavioural problems of young children. Annemari is also an accredited Triple P Level 5 provider (parent training). Annemari has completed research on emotional intelligence and has particular interests in childhood obesity and parent-child interaction therapy (strengthening parent-child relationships in difficult to manage children).
Dr. Kerry Badenhorst MAPS, MCCP

Kerry has extensive experience in child and adolescent mental health and behavioural problems. She has worked at various levels in government as a psychologist and management/senior clinician. Kerry has worked as a research assistant on projects investigating foster care as well as worked therapeutically with children-in-care as part of the EVOLVE team and with child and youth mental health services. Kerry completed her doctoral dissertation on young children’s understanding of death and treating grief and loss issues in children and adolescents. Kerry’s particular interest is with working with children with eating disorders, depression, anxiety or trauma.

Lisa specialises in the area of developmental psychology and educational psychology. She studied psychology as a mature age student where she took a strong interest in the mental health problems of children as well as the learning problems in children. Lisa has worked with children-in-care, children with autism and general developmental problems of childhood. In addtion, Lisa specialises in assessing children with learning problems and is interested in the learning and developmental problems of children born premature. Lisa is a full member of the College of Educational & Developmental Psychologists.
Matthew Simmond MAPS, MCCP

Matthew has extensive experience in child and adolescent mental health and behavioural problems. He has worked at various levels of government within the Department of Communities Child Safety Services. Matthew has worked therapeutically with children-in-care as part of the EVOLVE team with Disability and Community Care Services. Matthew completed his masters dissertation on the impact of attachment styles of children and foster carers on placement stability. Matthew's particular interests include providing early intervention services to children with complex trauma and mental health needs, developmental psychology and autism spectrum disorders. Matthew is a full member of the College of Clinical Psychologists.

Belinda has considerable experience with working with emotionally and behaviourally challenging children as part of the EVOLVE team. She has a particular interest in working with children who have been maltreated and adult-child bonding issues. Belinda has researched suicidal behaviour in children of all ages and the thought processes that cause over anxiousness. Belinda also oversees the design, implementation and evaluation of the Social Kids program. Belinda is a full member of the College of Clinical Psychologists.

Shannon has extensive experience with children of separated parents and their families working therapeutically in the family dispute area. As a psychologist specialising in educational and developmental concerns, Shannon has worked as a school psychologist and a psychologist with children with physical disabilities as part of multi disciplinary team. Shannon's particular interest is with problems of young children that include learning difficulties.

Dianne has over 40 years experience teaching in primary schools in Brisbane and North Queensland, working for the past twenty years as a learning support teacher in country and city schools. For the past nine years, she has established a school-based learning centre and team in collaboration with a special education unit at a very large primary school which catered for most students with special needs ranging from physical impairments, intellectual impairments, speech-language impairments, visual and hearing impairments to AD/HD to ASD. Dianne is passionate about teaching children with learning difficulties and helping every child acquire their basic academic skills and confidence to extend and apply these skills into all areas of the curriculum.
