A Little Me Time

The calendar has just ticked over to the month of June which means that we are half way though the year; there are no more long weekends for a while, and the weather is cooling down again. Making this the perfect time for some renewed inspiration in strengthening our mental wellbeing.

Even the smallest of self-care moments can make a big difference, but at times it can be hard to know where to begin. While some people love to meditate, others prefer to go out to a movie or catch up with friends. However you choose to spend your “me time” ensure that it is valuable to you.

To help get you started on your journey towards strong mental wellbeing, below are 6 categories based around wellbeing activities. Just a little from each regularly can help lift your spirits and soothe your soul.

· Health – eat, sleep, exercise and repeat

· Education – learn a skill and expand your horizons

· Kindness – show others you care

· Connections – Deepen current connections and build new connections too

· Notice – engage with your world mindfully

· Nature – connect with your natural world and breathe fresh air

For more assistance with getting started on your “me time” the Queensland government have a very helpful online resource filled with great activity ideas. For more ideas and help to get started, follow the link below.
